The Plano Wetcats, offered by the City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department of Plano, Texas is a competitive swimming team under the wing of United States Masters’ Swimming. Our goal is to provide the best possible coaching staff and facilities to give the citizens of Plano a unique competitive swimming and recreational opportunity. We strive to provide for all ability groups and work on the skills necessary to compete in local, regional, and national competitions.
There is a place for everyone in the sport of competitive swimming and in our Wetcat Program. Masters’ swimming provides an outlet for physical conditioning and mental training, giving everyone an opportunity to excel at their own pace. Three workouts are written for each practice with intervals and distances graduated to each level of development. The coaches work the deck and try to talk to each member every day. Workouts provide time for drills and stroke technique as well as physical conditioning. We are always looking for new swimmers and have an open door policy. Feel free to drop-in and try-out a coached workout for $8. After your trial period you may sign up at the registration desk.
